Vocabulary
Vocabulary is critical in both literacy and mathematics. It is important for students to understand key vocabulary terms in mathematics and literacy to communicate with others. Communication using vocabulary allows students to share ideas, ask questions, and explain their reasonings more effectively. I have provided two resources that describe strategies to help your child learn vocabulary on paper and online. I have also provided the vocabulary list that we are currently working with in our classroom. Finally, there is a link to a geometry vocabulary game that I encourage you to share with your child.
